Crate FAQs
FAQ's
Why get a crate? A crate can provide a safe zone especially for puppies and/ or nervous dogs. It should be introduced as a positive area so they want to be in their crate. Crate training can be useful if your dog ever needs to be crate rested or stay overnight at a vets.
What items should I get my puppy for inside its crate? We highly recommend a heat disk and/ or a heartbeat lamb. Both can be bought from most large pet shops or Amazon. Your puppy has been taken away from its littermates and mum so these items mimic mums heartbeat and the warmth from their littermates that they have been used to.
What size crate does my dog need? Your dog should be able to stand up easily, turnaround and lie down on their side. If your puppy will get a lot bigger such as with a Doberman there are crates with movable dividers that are a great option.
Can we make dimensions different to those shown? Everything is made to order and measure so different measurements are not a problem. Please see the table below for which size to select. Take your longest measurement (length) to find which size your crate falls under.
